This Earth Day, we applaud all schools and individuals who use technology to be green. Here's such a simple way to cut down on paper:
It was such a shocker last year for me when my son entered Kindergarten how much STUFF he came home with every day. PAPERS exploded out of his backpack daily...
Is that really necessary? No! I tried to re-use them for my todo 'lists' I make almost every day! But it was still just too much.
Many schools are starting "green" teams to alleviate this paper problem.
Just imagine how much toner / ink and paper this saves!
This Earth Day, push your schools to be green. I'm so thrilled to say now that my son's new school puts out all parent information on a weekly password-protected BLOG.
It's so much more efficient, and I love it because my kitchen counter can stay cleaner!
Happy Earth Day!

Laura, I feel the same way. Three kids + three different schools = too many papers. Two years ago when I was on the PTA board at my son's elementary school we made the decision to "Go Green" with our weekly newsletters. Now the teachers email a weekly newsletter with a link to the PTA newsletter. We also do all volunteer sign ups on a website called mysignup.com. If the teachers or the PTA need volunteers for a school activity the link to mysignup.com is included in the online newsletter. Like you now my kitchen counter is much cleaner!
