We went to Keyboard Castle for the Case of the Magic Bookcase this week. At the beginning of class I wanted to review the home row letters. I knew that almost all of my students would at least know that homerow starts with 'A'. Just to test them I asked what letter comes next - to my surprise 3 of the students yelled out 'S' and then we continued all the way to ';'. (They did get stuck for a minute when it came to 'J'). Their parents were AMAZED that they knew all the home row letters WITHOUT looking!! The 3 students who remembered are 4 years old and in their 2nd year of IT classes.

I love it! I have a second year 4 year old student who made up her own song with the letters in homerow. She sings it every week when she is getting ready to locate the letters in homerow. It is sooo cute!
